From the very beginning, Emmy has been so supportive, generous with her knowledge, and
genuinely invested in our journey. We brought our miniature pinscher, Taco, home at 11 weeks old, and it’s clear he was given the very best start in life. He arrived confident, well-socialised, and so deeply loved — a true reflection of the environment he was raised in.
Communication with Emmy has been impeccable.

She’s full of practical, thoughtful advice, and
what’s meant the most is knowing she genuinely means it when she says she’s always there if we have questions or need support. That reassurance has been priceless as new puppy parents.

What really stands out is that at no point did this experience ever feel like a transaction or a money making exercise. It’s obvious that breeding is a deep passion for Emmy — one rooted in care, ethics, and love for the dogs she raises.

I would like to say thank you to Remi’s breeder Emmy at Tauriel kennels. I can’t recommend her highly enough, she’s so caring and dedicated to her puppies. From the moment Remi was born Emmy kept us updated with photos,  messages and was always happy to answer any questions we had, with great advice. On the day we picked up Remi Emmy met us in person for the handover she also gave us lots of goodies for Remi to come home with to make her feel comfortable while she was adjusting to her new home.

We love Remi to bits, she is the most confident,  happy ,intelligent, sweetest and loving little girl and we are so happy she came into our lives.

We cannot recommend Emmy and Tauriel Kennels enough. We were blessed to have been chosen as the forever home for our precious Min Pin boy Jett and now adding in Maple. From the moment we first spoke to Emmy, we could tell that she was extremely passionate and dedicated in the role that she has raising and training her beautiful puppies so that they’re prepared for the world. She kept us up to date with milestones, pictures and videos of Jett regularly. Then, when he was ready to make the trip up to Auckland to us, we were blown away with the generosity of things that Emmy sent to us to aid in Jett’s comfort with the transition.

Emmy has a love for her animals and ensures they go to loving homes. She gives them the best start in life and to say that these puppies are spoilt is an understatement. Her knowledge is vast and she has even helped me with my staffy and his skin issues.

We are so happy with our Tauriel kennels experience. Emmy was incredible throughout the process, she truely cares about the puppies while they are with her and once they have gone to their new homes.

Emmy has such a wealth of knowledge that she is happy to share, she prepared the puppies and the new owners to make the transition to their new lives as simple as possible.

We received regular photos, videos, updates and we were even able to visit our puppy bailey a few times before bringing her home.

Bailey received the best start in life. She is such a special puppy, full of confidence and well natured, this is a real testament to Emmy’s high standards of the breed.

Tauriel Kennels was so easy to deal with, answering all the questions we had, sending photos and videos of the pup we were interested in keeping us well informed and soooo excited.

Emmy went above and beyond to ensure the puppy had the best care and support when transporting to Auckland too. We were incredibly impressed and grateful.
She continued to keep us informed about important puppy advice and nutrition/flea/worming guidance; a testament to her commitment to the health of her puppies after leaving her care. The puppy (Bowie) has been just a good boy, adoring the company of others (people and dogs alike) and has been a dream to take out and about- I put this down to her and the families care during the early stages of him being a pup!

Emmy and her family have been excellent all the way through the process of finding and caring for a wonderful min pin puppy. Bonnie is the light of my life, intelligent, obedient, playful and incredibly affectionate. She is confident around all dogs and responds well to commands. I've followed Emmy's advice on feeding and care, and she has also been very generous with her knowledge when I have had questions. I've had many dogs, but I can say that pound for pound, Bonnie is the smartest dog I've had, she's wonderful, and I feel like lightning struck when she was born - she's a very special little girl.

Roo is a great little mate riding along with me in my cruiser. He loves nothing better than to hunt down those pesky rabbits and fast enough to catch them to. Growing up On a farm we’ve had all sorts of dogs but none as clever and the sense of smell is off the charts. Having a small dog makes a big difference especially when it comes out the other end.

Our experiences with Tauriel Kennels has only been amazing.

 

So much so, after getting Jacques Janvier (JJ) in December 2021, we’ve already gone back for a second in our baby girl Kiki in May 2023.

Emmy is amazing to work with if you’re lucky enough to secure one of her gorgeous border collies – Salsa is a gorgeous mum to both JJ and Kiki.

 

They’re wonderfully confident dogs and playful companions, they have a good temperament and are highly trainable.

This is testament to Emmy and her amazing family enough for the hard work they put into the first 8-9 weeks of these dogs lives.

Emmy’s knowledge when taking on not only one, but two border collies has been tremendously helpful.

 

Emmy’s comms style is just awesome as well, every step of the way for both dogs, Emmy provides so many update pictures and videos of the pups as the start their lives.

Life without these two beautiful dogs wouldn’t be the same; we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have them both.

I couldn't have asked for more from Emmy and Tauriel Kennels. Emmy and her family loved our puppy like we do and took very good care of her (Mila).

We received pictures of Mila most days and a lot of videos also of the puppies which was so lovely.

Mila was given many, many happy experiences with Emmy and is a very confident wee girl with both people and other dogs.

After we became the parents of our gorgeous Min Pin pup, Emmy was there for us if we needed advice and we loved that. We are still in touch and Emmy has been to visit Mila (we invited her), we are so lucky to have Emmy in our lives.

We had an awesome experience with Emmy from Tauriel kennels from the get go and to this date she is still very much involved. She kept us updated with photos until the day we collected them. Taught them to share and play, and even started with crate training before we picked her up. 

Registering our pup was a breeze.

Regular visits were encouraged so that they could get used to us.

We couldn’t be more happier with Jessie our Border Collie. She is sweet natured and we love her to bits.

 

Emmy also created a Facebook page where we could upload photos of our pups and it is nice to see how her brothers and sisters are doing and she regularly sends us reminders or notices about border collie get-togethers or play groups.

Esmé (soda) has had a big year of adjusting to a new member to the "pack". She has become the best older sister to our little baby and has adjusted so well. She's the perfect family dog and always looks out for our little baby. If our daughter is crying, she'll come get me even if I'm in the shower.
